For people who exercise, and especially in the case of runners, injuries are bound to happen. However, there are also mental consequences alongside the physical ones. It is important that, when you incur an injury, you should prepare yourself mentally by communicating with others and hearing their stories of injuries and dealing with an increase in weight and stress. Sometimes an identity crisis may occur if exercise is a large part of who you are. Lastly, prepare for dealing with the headaches involved with the financial strains of an injury.
